Anna Cadden is a local Producer & Cinematographer and has called Central Australia home since 2003. She has spent many years working in remote aboriginal communities with organisations including Warlpiri Media Association, Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation, Ngaanyatjarra Media, CAYLUS, Central Land Council, CAAMA, the Central Desert Shire, Ninti Media and ICTV.
Anna was the cinematographer for ‘Queen of the Desert’ – a documentary production for ABC2, ‘Aboriginal Rules’ – a Warlpiri Media Association documentary production for ABC and ‘Strong and Smart’ – a documentary production for ABC’s Message Stick. She also created & produced the 6 part comedy TV series, ‘8MMM Aboriginal Radio’ for ABC with Brindle Films and Princess Pictures. As well as her work in film, Anna is a much sought after photographer and has beautifully captured many local characters, shows and events.
For Unbroken Land 2018, Anna is creating video installations and is also documenting this year’s show, to turn into a short film. Having attended Unbroken Land in 2015, Anna was impressed by the diversity of art forms and local talent involved. This is her first experience working as an artist with Incite and she is excited to see the video installations within a natural environment.
Anna says, “I’ve done a few outdoor video installations and it was a while ago, so it’s interesting to make something that’s not for a screen or movie theatre, or environment that’s made for film. I’m looking forward to being part of a bigger creative vision as well!”
